Areas of Specialization: Somatic Processing and Trauma; Anxiety and Depression
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked as a clinician for the past 6 years. I earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. I often work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, school issues, and parent-child concerns. Much of my clinical experience includes working with adolescents and young adults as different facets of their personhood are revealed and they begin to discover their abilities, values, and identity. Aside from traditional talk therapy, I help facilitate personal and relationship growth by using art, dreamwork, sand tray, and mindfulness in order to promote awareness and wholeness. I provide a genuine attitude, compassion, and curiosity. When I began my own personal journey in psychotherapy, I was afraid and unsure of what was to lie ahead in the unfolding of my personal growth. While I am often faced with my own humanness, I am able to work with others as they do the same. I have personally learned that when the soul requires change, the journey can be both scary and deeply satisfying. I would be honored to work with you as you learn to listen to your own inner knowing!
