SUZY ROBERTS, M.S., AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT No. 82723
Areas of Specialization: Mid-life transitions; Grief and Loss; Couples therapy; Transgender and Gender Identity
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and have been practicing therapy for the past 6 years. I received my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from San Diego State University.
Through my own experience in personal therapy I found the space needed to uncover my authentic self and began to push through the fears that kept me stuck in many areas. One of the challenges that I was able to face was going back to school to pursue my life-long dream of becoming a therapist. It has always been my passion to walk alongside others in their struggles, joining them in discovering personal freedom.
I have had the privilege of working with brave individuals dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, childhood trauma, sexual identity issues, spiritual issues, as well as life transitions. I have worked in various settings including a college counseling center, private practice, facilitating mental health groups for the elderly and in a high school setting.
As I have felt with countless others, I would consider it an honor to join you on your journey of pursuing inner peace and freedom in the areas and relationships where you feel stuck. We can do difficult things together-and taking that first step is always the scariest. My hope is that you will take that important step and, with my help, begin the process of uncovering your authentic self.
