I consider it an honor to journey alongside individuals struggling with issues related to anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University.
I have been working with adults and couples for the past six years and I specialize in helping women struggling with the transition into motherhood. Becoming a new mother can be a wonderful time and it can also be a deeply emotional experience. Many mothers often cope with feelings of loneliness, emotional disconnection, a sense of purposelessness and fears about being “not enough”. During this intense time, I help women move from self-doubt and worry to self-compassion and acceptance. I also work with mothers struggling with the crippling effects of postpartum depression and anxiety. Postpartum stress, anxiety and depression are much more common than you may think and are very treatable.
In addition, I have extensive experience in the field of trauma and foster care. Foster and adoptive parents often work tirelessly navigating the waters of their child’s insecure attachment, angry outbursts and traumatic stress. I help and support caregivers who are experiencing anxiety, exhaustion and grief. My practice focuses on helping parents discover greater peace of mind while learning to manage their child’s unexpected behaviors.
I provide a warm, genuine and eclectic approach. I believe deeply in the power of therapy; I believe that genuine connection is an agent of change toward growth and insight. Having invested many years in my own personal psychotherapy, I understand how scary and vulnerable it can be to begin the process. I would love to walk with you as you begin your journey toward self-acceptance and healing.
